OUR MISSION:

Volunteer Mercy Pilots fly so that no one is denied potentially life-saving treatment simply because they cannot afford the travel costs or who are otherwise unable to travel via public means.

It is the mission of VMP to remove the obstacle of transportation for individuals in financial and medical need. We will accomplish this mission by providing free air transportation for any legitimate, medically related need or other compassionate purpose.

This community service will be made available to any individual for whom such air transportation is prescribed, or for whom it is deemed to be medically beneficial, and who would find paying for it a financial hardship. Patients must be ambulatory and medically stable. VMP is willing to coordinate with any medical agency or health care organization to identify patients in need of transportation services.

VMP serves those who reside in Michigan and are traveling to any destination in the continental United States. To ensure travel across the United States, we coordinate with affiliate organizations.
